Reflective Coverage

360° Reflective Stripes Explained.

The 360-degree reflective stripes are positioned at the exact angles where headlights catch a moving human silhouette.

Front Stripes

Catch headlights from oncoming traffic. Critical when crossing intersections and entering crosswalks.

Back Stripes

Catch headlights from vehicles approaching behind. Most critical for runners and walkers on shoulder paths.

Side Stripes

Catch cross-traffic at intersections and driveways. Often overlooked but essential for suburban routes.

Wash and store the vest carefully to keep the reflective material at full brightness. Direct sunlight over years can fade the strips.

Putting It On

Three Steps. Snug Every Time.

A loose vest shifts. A too-tight vest restricts breathing. Three deliberate moves get the fit right.

Loosen All Buckles

Fully loosen the chest buckle and side elastic bands. Put the vest on like a jacket — over the head and arms.

Center The Weight

Position the vest so the load is balanced evenly across your torso. Avoid tilting forward, backward or to one side.

Tighten The Fit

Tighten the chest buckle first to anchor. Snug the elastic side bands. Take a full breath — no restriction.

Cleaning & Storage

How To Care For Each Model.

Six products. Six cleaning approaches. Here's the right method for each.

01

Iron-Sand Vest

Wipe with a damp cloth after each session. Never submerge or machine wash. Lay flat to dry overnight.

02

Z-Fit Vest

Hand-wash safe. Cool water, mild detergent, press water out between towels. Lay flat for 24 hours.

03

Adjustable Vest

Remove all bags before cleaning. Wipe neoprene shell with damp cloth. Spot-clean only — never machine wash.

04

Ankle Weights

Remove iron-sand bags before cleaning the strap. Strap is hand-washable. Bags wipe down only.

05

Vest Plates

Wipe with a dry cloth after sweaty sessions. Store flat. Avoid stacking with sharp items to protect powder coat.

06

Medicine Ball

Wipe with damp cloth and mild soap. Air dry. Avoid prolonged sun. Store somewhere stable so it won't roll.

Out Of Box

First-Use Setup.

Refresh your new Zelus weighted vest in three steps before your first workout.

Unfold & Air

Unfold the vest after unboxing and lay it flat in a ventilated room. Let it breathe for 1–2 days.

Adjust The Buckle

Pre-adjust the chest buckle and side bands to your starting fit before your first session — saves time on day one.

Plan Your First Walk

Twenty minutes at 5% body weight is the right starting dose. Plan a short loop and focus on posture.

Rule 01

Build Time Gradually

20–30 minutes for the first two weeks. Add five minutes per session. Ankles adapt slower than muscles.

Rule 02

Pair With Stable Shoes

Added weight raises your center of gravity. Worn-out shoes plus weighted vest is a sprain combination.

Rule 03

Mind Your Posture

The vest amplifies existing posture issues. Shoulders down and back, core engaged, shorter stride.

Rule 04

Squat, Don't Bend

Several reviewers note the vest "punching them in the face" bending forward. Squat to ground level.

Rule 05

Cap At Two Hours

Even with light loads, sessions over two hours risk overuse. Rest muscles between sessions.

Rule 06

Stop If Something Hurts

Joint pain or new shoulder soreness is a signal — reduce load or session length immediately.
